General
Rent-A-Bug Tasmania provides statutory limits of liability insurance as shown
on the rental agreement at time of rental. Please contact your
rental location for additional information.
Rate basis
Rates
are based on 24 hour periods and generally comprehensive insurance
and sometimes unlimited kms.
Age Restrictions
The following individuals, if 21 years of age or older
and in possession of a valid driver’s licence, may drive the car
with Rent-A-Bug’ prior permission:
1. The renter
2. Other individuals may be listed as
additional drivers provided they are at least 21 years of age;
present a valid driver’s licence, and have notified Rent-A-Bug.
Drivers License
A valid
driver's licence is required for all operators of Rent-A-Bug
vehicles. The licence must be valid at the time of commencing the
rental and remain valid throughout the rental period. Conditions Apply.
Distance Charges
All rentals
include 200 kilometres, or a fee of $5 per day can be paid for upgrade to unlimited kms,
unless otherwise indicated or agreed at time of rental.
Insurance & Bond
A
compulasary Excess Waiver fee of $8 per day applies to all rentals
unless otherwise agreed at time of rental. A bond of $300 applys at
delivery by way of credit card imprint or cash dependent upon level of
insurance liability selected at time of rental. Bond subject to change.
Please note Drivers under the age of 25 years of age are required to
pay a higher bond.
*If Bond is paid by Credit Card, it will be refunded within 72 hrs after the rental period has ended.
*If Bond is paid by cash, it will be refunded by cheque.
Payment methods
Cash, credit card,
and EFTPOS facilities are available.
Vehicle Usage Restrictions
Specific restrictions may apply to the use of rented
vehicles on gravel and dirt roads. An additional excess applies if
the vehicle is damaged whilst driven on un-sealed surfaces. Please
check for full details when renting vehicle.
Rate Guarantee
The reservation is confirmed according to the details
agreed upon at time of making booking. Any changes to the date's,
times and vehicle type may cause the rate to change.
Holding Vehicles
For all reservations we require a booking deposit. This cost will be deducted
from the cost of the rental. Please
notify us, by calling our office, of any delays prior to the time of
arrival. Failure to advise late arrival may result in the release of
the vehicle and/or forfeit of deposits paid.
